Ik heb een vraag over het kneden van stars.


90-100% Alcohol kan ik nergens vinden in Nederland behalve op ebay (In het Buitenland) maar de verzendkosten zijn erg duur.
Dus mijn vraag is: Kan je stars ook alleen met water kneden?
En wat zijn de nadelen hiervan?



Edit: Ik wil graag Tiger tail stars maken en C6/C8 stars.

Ligt aan de compositie.
Wees even duidelijker.
TT bijvoorbeeld kun je ook maken met water en een scheutje spiritus, wat je in iedere super kunt krijgen.
En sterren die echt 100% alcohol nodig hebben, kunnen waarschijnlijk niet met water nee.
Vaak zit er alcohol bij om de oppervlakte spanning van het water te verbreken.

Nu dat is dan duidelijk :) Je kan het proberen met aleen water, maar het poeder vermengd zich dan wat minder goed met het water.
Uiteindelijk kan je er wel sterren mee maken, maar een fles spiritus (voornamelijk alcohol) van een euro is ook de moeite niet en net zo makkelijk.

Is dat echt zo moeilijk voor je te vinden? Ik heb vanmiddag eens gekeken bij DHZ winkels en tuinwinkels (dit telt toch niet als bron, of wel?!) en >80% van deze winkels had wel een bron voor een hoge concentratie ethanol (>90%), zelf heb ik gelijk een flesje >97% (zo stond het letterlijk op het etiketje) bio ethanol gekocht voor 1,79E (wat ik eigenlijk nog duur vond voor een litertje)
Ik hou niet van spiritus vanwege de kleurstof en al helemaal door het braakmiddel 'houtgeest' (sorry VanHout :huh:). Die ethanol die ik gebruik laat niet die blauwe vlekken en die braaklucht achter tijdens het drogen van mijn sterren. :)

Comments: Crackling stars can be made with this composition. The poster used large pistol primers (idea from Best of AFN II), coated with 70%KClO4/30% Dark aluminum for cores, and rolled these into stars with the star mixture. The stars were hard to ignite and needed priming.

Nou ben je nog steeds even ver, waarom is dit zo bijzonder voor je? er zijn 1000 verschillende youtube filmpjes met 10 tallen verschillende compo's.
Vroeger vroeg men nog wat de beste compo is voor een bepaalde kleur.
Ik kan ook gewoon eens even wat rommel bij elkaar gooien en dat #8 noemen, als die gozer er airfloat doorheen gooit krijg je bijv al heel wat anders.
Op je vraag kan aleen diegene antwoorden die het filmpje gemaakt heeft.

Ik snap de bezonderheid ook niet echt. Zo mooi rood geeft de compo op het filmpje ook niet.
Mijn favoriet is Buell red. Geeft een diep rode kleur en goed te maken.
Hieronder een breek van een 5 inch met buelred.

Buell Red - cut, rolled
Potassium perchlorate 35
Strontium carbonate 25
Magnalium (-200 mesh) 14
Red gum 7
Parlon 13
Dextrin 5
Add 25% alcohol/ 75%water
