Half Inch Shells

I was wondering if anyone had any experiance making half-inch mortar shells. They seem too small for normal shell construction. Any tips on making them would be appreciated.

I sometimes make these thing as cake inserts, 18mm or so. Best thing to do is just take a tube, ram some bentonite in it, drill a holt through this and glue in you're fuse. Then continue by loading the stars or whatever in the tube with some flash and blackpowder as break charge. H3 and KP will also work fine. Than place a small cardboard disk on top, leaving 5mm of the tube empty, and fill this with glue.
Finish with 1 layer of pasting and you're ready to go :blush:
