I can not believe the crackling sound comes from the Mg/Al, if you make an Mg/Al flash, then you won't hear the crackling sound either, Pb3O4 can be made at home with i method that i won't describe here( to dangerous, you need some good protection and glassware. You can simply seal the magnalium with a plate and then melt it, Snipie has managed to make magnalium without inert gas, if you do plan to use inert gas I wouldn't suggest to use CO2, Mg even oxidates under a CO2 atmosphere, use krypton or nitrogen.

Blackpowder is a very good rocket propellant, but don't try to use good BP othwerise the pressure won't leave fast enought and you're rocket will explode. If you plan on using BP then add some extra pct's of charcoal and reduce the amount of sulfur in the BP, i can upload a movie about a blackpowder rocket if there are people interested

I believe tha Pb3O4 gives the crackling sound, Please look out with this sas, it is DANGEROUS and has a very, very poisonous component in it, lead oxides come, but they don't go!! The eggs are quiet sensitive to shock and friction and can not be made by people who just start!! Magnalium can be made at home by melting Al and Mg 50/50. The metal is quiet breakable so it's easy powdered by putting it into the ballmill for some hours

AAAh the candy proppellant, can i ask how you pressed/rammed melted the sas into the tube? If you want some beautiful sparks after it you should try the usual meal powder+20pct raw charcoal in it, it doens't seem to affect the thrust and gives some beautiful tail sparks behind the rocket, if you want to get some small payloads up i should use this rocket: ID of 12 mm, casing thickness of 3 mm total lenght of 80 mm with a 3mm diameter core witch goes 3 cm deep. You'll have to do the trial and error method to get the technique, with to good blackpowder the rocket wil explode, to weak blackpowder won't give the thrust to get the rocket into to sky, my best experiences are rockets with meal powder: C/S ballmilled for 1.5 hours, KNO3 milled for 0.5 hours, components are mixed togheter and sprayed lightly wet, let it dry and ram it into the casings, i am trying to get my nozzleless rockets into the air now, more about that later. The candy propellant isn't made for small rockets actually, more for huge HPR's with 24 kg of sas in it, i would use slightly adjusted blackpowder who gets to healthy hights to see the effect optimal.

Gelieve in het vervolg wat duidelijker te zijn, men bedoelt dat je hem direct na het droogproces moet aansteken omdat de NH4NO3 in de KAS rookbom direct weer zal vocht aantrekken en de prestaties achteruit zal halen.

Ten eerste kan je dit geen BP noemen, dit verdient met moeite de naam meal powder, Commerciaal buskruit in knallers word volgens 2 welbekende manieren gemaakt, de eerste manier is de"gevaarlijke" ballmilling method, hierbij mil je eerst de C en de S, daarna doe je er de KNO3 bij, dit wil zeggen dat je een comp mengt wat ik ABSOLUUT niet zou proberen als je geen veilige ballmill hebt(niet vonkende media), hierna word het nog eens samengeperst en weer verkruimeld(NIET verpoedert), daarna word het door een aantal mesh zeefjes gehaald om voor verschillende doeleinden te dienen. De 2de methode; de alternatieve of CIA methode, Eerst worden de C en S samen gemilled voor zo'n 8 uur, terwijl de C en S malen zet je 600 ml isopropyl alcohol in de vriezer voor iedere honderd gram C en S mic(acetone en methanol etc werken ook :roll: ) daarna neem je 75 gram KNO3(gebruik misschien wat meer omdat er misschien een deel zal opgelost blijven) Maak een verzadigde oplossing KNO3 en voeg daaraan nog eens 10 ml water toe, daarna voeg je de C/S mix toe en roer je even goed, hierna voeg je de isopropyl alcohol toe en koel je het mengsel zo vlug mogelijk af, daarna gebruik je een oud stuk kledij als filter om je buskruit af te filteren, leg dit buiten te drogen omdat dit nogal ontvlambare dampen geeft.

Een kewl is iemand die grote knallen wil maken zonder veel moeite en op de zenuwen werkt van meer ervarenere members, ze stellen vragen die al 100 maal beantwoord zijn en zijn hard op zoek naar KNO3, zoals je al weet mag je niet naar bronnen vragen maar tuurlijk staan kewls boven de regels en denken dat ze dat wel mogen.

Ik vind rookbommen van KNO3 eerlijk gezegd een beetje waste, Een zeer goede methode is echter om KNO3 + sucrose in de juiste verhoudingen in een bekerglas te doen en daar kleine scheutjes water aan toe te voegen doe dit totdat de massa kleverig en bruinachtig word, gebruik hierbij een overmaat aan KNO3 omdat er een deel waarschijnlijk zal oplossen en verloren gaan

This isn't a very good fuse for pyro, many pyro mixtures containt Sulphur, Another drawback with this fuse is the huge diameter for a fuse, the gas that is formed will go away true the huge opening, the gas can go away so you're effect is gone.

Bullshit, just make blackmatch, this is a very good fuse for rockets and crackers, H2SO4 can't be formed by leading SO2 true moisture, you'll get H2SO3, if you want to have H2SO4 you'll need a catalyst of V2O5

Rookbommen maken met NH4NO3 is makkelijk als je het ergens in drenkt, wil je het echter in een vast hoopje ontsteken zal je erg veel problemen ondervinden

You have allready proved to me that you are to be trusted with pyro, i was just questioning the fact that KMnO4 flash is relativly safe, if you're chems are fine enough you have a fucking deadly flash :shock:. Blaf, it's not because you haven't noticed the fact that it's sensitive that it means it isn't there, i call you lucky, in all the years of pyro i have had some small accidents because i didn't believe it was that sensitive, this wasn't actually a warn for you my friend but for all the other members here.

Pyrotechnics is quiet a safe hobby if you use you're mind, small quantities of KMnO4 flash is allways fun, but i would NEVER but NEVER use KMnO4 in rockets or starmines or something like that, The only thing that makes pyro unsafe is the tought that you think you're untouchable, many beginning pyro's have that tought, they think: wooooooooow KClO3+Al is good, it would work even better with S, then they think, oh ClO3 salts and S don't go very good together, then again they think, well i am not that stupid as other people, i will work safe and controlled, there you have the feeling of God untill something goes wrong, same problem with all the explosive hobbyists here, they al think TATP will never go off in their hands, because they aren't that clumsy as people who had accidents(in their minds) i have warned people here many times but they simply don't listen, well not my problem, i won't mind if they will die tomorrow but i am more afraid of the fact to lose some good sources for chemicals

You live in Croatia but here ya go, Get some cotton strings from a candle shop or anything, make sure all of the fat is off of it, dreft works ok, wash them and let them dry, then you make the normal BP, and bind it till it becomes a sticky mass with dextrin, put it into something and make holes in it, put the cotton strings true the holes and get them true the sticky mass to let them come out true a hole on the other side, do this the whole length of you're string and return, leave them alone drying on a warm spot( not to warm) If you want them to be waterproof you will have to dissolve ping-pong balls into acetone, when they are dissolved it's time to get you're rope trough it, the Dinitrocellullose will make a waterproof coating around the fuse, this fuse is now watertight but not elastic anymore(ytou can't bend it)

1 sterretje lukt perfect, kwestie van hoe droog je doeken zijn, ze moeten stijf aanvoelen, een half uurtje tot een uurtje in de droogkast volstaat meestal, voor enkele papiertjes kan je een haardroger gebruiken.
